I agree with Von Glitschka that the new Vectorscribe plugin form Astute Graphics is a game changer for Adobe Illustrator. It addresses every single complaint I’ve had about Illustrator and the way it handles simple vector shapes. They should have added this functionality a long time ago. The best part is Astute Graphics has kept the price very reasonable.  $65 for the Designer version and $119 for the Studio version that adds dynamic shapes. Go get it now!
